Panic Attacks

Everyone experiences feelings of anxiety and panic at certain times during their life. It’s a natural response to stressful or dangerous situations.

Panic is when you experience high levels of anxiety. You will feel uncomfortable physical symptoms in your body.

  • Rapid heart beat
  • Palpitations
  • Sweating
  • Breathlessness
  • Dizziness
  • Tingling in hands and feet

These feelings can be very severe and you may feel frightened. You may also notice:

  • That you have started avoiding people or situations
  • Changes in your thinking. E.g. the worst thing possible will happen or that you are having a heart attack
