The Health Anxiety Course is an 8 week course designed to help you gain a better understanding of health anxiety, and how this can affect the way we think, feel and behave. Techniques based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) will be discussed to help you learn to control your worries around your health. We will also discuss how you can change the way you respond to your worries and fears by overcoming your reassurance and checking behaviours. We will also discuss how you can plan for useful change and set goals for the future. You will not be required to contribute during the group if you do not want to, you will be able to just listen and learn more.
Health Anxiety aims:
- To gain a better understanding of health related anxiety and learn how it affects the way we think, feel and behave.
- To learn skills to control and manage the symptoms of health anxiety
