Anger

Anger is an emotion that everyone has. You will feel irritated, frustrated or angry from time to time, the same as everyone else.

You may become angry if you are insulted or threatened. You may also get angry if plans go wrong or if things don’t go how you thought they would. Sometimes people may let you down or misunderstandings can happen that may lead to frustration and anger.

When you feel angry you may notice other feelings

  • Guilt
  • Shame
  • Frustration
  • Sadness
  • Anxiety

You may react to angry feelings in different ways. You may notice yourself

  • Criticising others
  • Swearing
  • Screaming
  • Shouting
  • Destroying objects
  • Physically hurting someone
